Shandong–Japan tourism exchange held to promote tourism cooperation

Print PrintNew cooperation opportunities in tourism are on the horizon for Japan and China, as representatives from 14 renowned Japanese travel agencies and 37 Shandong cultural tourism industry gathered in Qufu, Shandong province for the China (Shandong)–Japan Inbound Tourism Exchange Meeting on March 13.
During the event, Shandong representatives introduced the province's abundant travel resources such as "Climbing Mount Tai and Paying Tribute to Confucius" travel routes, and cultural tours featuring two world cultural heritages: Confucian culture and the Grand Canal culture.
Furthermore, representatives from both sides discussed topics such as developing tourism routes and mutual exchange of tourists, aiming to further bilateral tourism.
Through introductions, practical connections, and immersive experiences, this event helped encourage more tourism flows between China and Japan. It not only allowed Japanese travel agents to deeply understand and experience Shandong's cultural and tourism resources but also provided a platform for direct communication and cooperation.
Additionally, a Japanese travel agency delegation, organized jointly by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the China National Tourism Office in Tokyo, and the China National Tourism Office in Osaka, visited places such as Qingdao, Linyi, and Zibo in Shandong from March 12 to 16.
