Business representatives, overseas Chinese leaders, and overseas Chinese compatriots from over 20 countries and regions gathered in Linyin Shandong province on Feb 27 for the Linyi Trade City Internationalization Promotion Conference, where they witnessed Linyi's great development potential.
Linyi Trade City is a crucial commodity trading center in Shandong and across the nation. Linyi, known as China's "Logistic City", houses China's largest logistics market cluster, largest live-streaming e-commerce base in northern China, a logistics hub facilitating nationwide transactions, and a base for integrated production and sales.
In recent years, Linyi has nurtured a large number of international trade entities, with 3,500 cross-border e-commerce entities and 15,000 foreign trade companies currently operating in the city. Thanks to a business model combining cross-border e-commerce and market procurement, over 4,000 merchants have joined platforms such as Amazon and TikTok.
Linyi has established 43 overseas malls and warehouses, which helped over 2,000 companies with overseas customers last year and attracted 31,000 overseas buyers to its trade city.
Furthermore, the city has created an open and convenient business environment. Its logistics channels extend globally, with 27 China-Europe freight trains reaching 12 European countries and 340 sea routes from seven major ports connecting to 60 countries and regions in the Middle East, Africa, and North America.
"This conference has provided an excellent platform, enabling merchants and representatives from various countries to engage in face-to-face discussions and collaborations with Linyi merchants," said Ahmed Mohamed Elsaid Soliman, chief advisor of the Egyptian Entrepreneurs Association and president of the SIKMA Cultural Industry Group.
