The main section of the Danube Corridor Project, constructed by Shandong High-speed Group in Serbia on Feb 22 local time, was completed and opened to traffic, laying a solid foundation for the full operation of the project.
The project spans approximately 68 kilometers, featuring a dual four-lane design with a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The newly opened section is 31.85 kilometers long.
After completion, the project will alleviate bottlenecks in eastern Serbia and better link countries and regions along the route.
The Danube Corridor Project connects cities such as Pozarevac, Velika Plana, and Golubac in Serbia and serves as a crucial branch project of the European E75 highway network.
