Shandong province has once again demonstrated its economic strength, with four of its companies making the 2024 Fortune 500 list. This year, China had a total of 133 companies on the list, second only to the United States.

The four Shandong-based companies that made the cut are Shandong Energy Group, Weiqiao Pioneering Group, Haier Smart Home, and Shandong Hi-Speed Group.

Shandong Energy Group ranked 75th with a revenue of $122.38 billion in 2023, marking its third consecutive year in the top 100.

Weiqiao Pioneering Group secured the 175th spot, marking its 13th consecutive appearance on the list. The company has maintained its leadership in traditional industries while expanding into new areas such as new energy and new materials.

Haier Smart Home climbed 12 places to 407th, making the company's seventh consecutive appearance on the list.

Shandong Hi-Speed Group ranked 412th with a revenue of $36.74 billion, a 28-spot jump from the previous year. This marks the company's third consecutive year on the list.

The strong showing of Shandong companies on the Fortune 500 list highlights the province's significant contributions to China's economic growth and its increasing global influence.
