An overseas Chinese business cooperation and exchange conference themed on the Belt and Road Initiative was held in Jinan, capital of Shandong province, on June 26.

During the opening ceremony, agreements for six projects were signed on-site after initial negotiations. Over 140 overseas Chinese business leaders and guests from more than 40 countries and regions, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Canada, and the United States, attended the event.

Yang Feng, deputy Party secretary of Jinan, introduced Jinan's developmental advantages and extended invitations for investment.

Jinan, with its rich resources, deep cultural heritage, open and inclusive environment, and efficient services, has introduced a series of supportive policies in recent years. These initiatives aim to create a favorable environment in the city for Chinese businesses to invest and thrive, offering fertile ground for entrepreneurial development across various sectors, Yang said.

Jinan is at a crucial stage in its development, ripe with opportunities for investment and entrepreneurship, Yang added. He encouraged Chinese entrepreneurs to participate in Jinan's development, expand cooperation fields, engage in deeper partnerships, and collectively create a more prosperous future.
