Print PrintAs of April this year, the operational high-speed rail network in Shandong province had surpassed 2,810 kilometers, firmly positioning it as the nation's leader in this domain. This year, the province's total high-speed rail mileage is expected to exceed 3,000 kilometers.
Shandong currently has seven high-speed rail projects under construction, with a combined length of 1,577 kilometers.
The province's high-speed rail network has not only witnessed remarkable growth in mileage but also continuous innovation in service quality.
The Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway serves as an exemplary case. As a crucial link between the two economic hubs, the railway has implemented measures such as adding more trains and optimizing operating schedules, significantly enhancing train operation density and passenger travel convenience.
On June 15, high-speed train services between Jinan and Qingdao increased from 67 to 74 trains per day, aligning with peak hours to expand the living and working circles of both cities.
Shandong will continue to actively explore the deep integration of high-speed rail with tourism, culture, and other industries, creating new high-speed rail tourism products and business models and injecting fresh impetus into the province's high-quality economic and social development.
