Taishan Sports, a sports industry group founded in 1978 and based in Laoling in East China's Shandong province, has grown from a small family workshop crafting sports mats by hand to a globally-renowned sports brand and a top-tier sports event operator.
The company's growth has been driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence in sports technology.
Currently, Taishan Sports holds over 1,000 patents both at home and abroad, has developed more than 100 industrial standards, and boasts a brand value of more than 26.3 billion yuan ($3.6 billion).
At the Taishan Sports Museum, a myriad of cutting-edge sports products, including the world's first carbon fiber gymnastics vault, a bicycle that has won the prestigious iF Design Award, an AI-integrated body measurement machine and a skiing simulator, are showcased. Its carbon fiber bicycle is the result of strong technological innovation.
The carbon fiber racing bike developed by Taishan Sports' subsidiary, PARDUS, made its debut at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and is the first of its kind to be developed in China. This year, the bicycle from PARDUS will once again be sued by the national team at the 2024 Paris Olympics Games.
The price of carbon fiber bicycles ranges from thousands to tens of thousands of yuan, with the lightest weighing only 3.6 kilograms and the most valuable priced at 600,000 yuan.
