Heze is at its most beautiful in April. The peonies in full bloom come in a variety of shapes and sizes, competing with each other to show off their beauty. The city is currently home to 10 peony gardens, including the Caozhou Peony Garden – the largest and most diverse peony garden in the world. In 2023 alone, the city boasted an impressive 1,308 peony varieties.

This year, the Caozhou Peony Garden has undergone comprehensive renovations. The garden has established a peony boutique park and a 60-meter wooden cultural corridor which displays the history, culture, and varieties of Heze peonies. In addition, the recreational and cultural experience facilities in the garden have been further improved.
