Shandong province has been ramping up efforts to boost its strength in product quality, cultivate famous brands and move the manufacturing sector toward higher-end, smarter, and greener production.

The province has carried out industrial foundation reengineering projects and research projects on major technologies and equipment, as well as implemented measures to help enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies produce unique products.

The province has integrated the brand and quality construction strategy with the implementation of other major strategies such as expanding domestic demand, building a modern industrial system, and constructing a leading zone for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.

Efforts will also be made to strengthen the establishment of various technological standard innovation centers, industrial metrology and testing centers, quality inspection centers, and a "one-stop" service platform for quality infrastructure.

In addition, provincial authorities will help enterprises bolster product quality and safety, conduct various activities such as Quality Month and Chinese Brand Day, intensify the publicity of quality popularization, and actively build a new pattern of quality co-governance to improve the reputation and credibility of products made in Shandong.
