Conference issues green development reports

Focusing on green development, clean energy, dual carbon, and other themes, the ongoing 2023 Green, Low-carbon, and High-quality Development Conference in Yantai, Shandong province, released a series of outcome reports.
The Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation issued the China Green Trade Development Report for the first time.
According to the report, Shandong has apparent advantages in clean energy, such as nuclear power. It has a good foundation and conditions for green and low-carbon development, and it suggests Yantai to build a "national green trade development demonstration zone."
Cui Weijie, vice-president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, said that the scale of green trade in China had maintained a growth trend, and the country has made great efforts to promote the trading of green products that are high-quality, high-value-added, and technologically advanced.
Official statistics show that from 2016 to 2022, Shandong's green trade increased by 1.2 times, accounting for 5.59 percent of the country's total.

According to local officials, Shandong has been ramping up efforts to expand imports of green and low-carbon products, environmental services, and energy conservation and environmental protection services.
The Offshore Wind Power and Photovoltaic Development Report, released by the Institutes of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, puts forward policy recommendations for offshore wind and photovoltaic development.
The Green Finance Research Institute of Agricultural Bank of China released the report Towards High-quality Development: Exploration and Practice of Transformation Finance, which focuses on the key areas of the transformation of old and new growth drivers and high-quality economic development in Shandong and introduces the results of the thematic research on the exploration and practice of transformation finance.
A report on major scientific and technological innovations in clean energy was also released.
