The Jinan Chamber of Commerce was launched in Shanghai on May 30. The chamber will help Jinan companies do business in Shanghai and assist Shanghai counterparts to seek business opportunities in Jinan. 

The chamber was initiated by 11 Jinan companies which have invested in Shanghai. To date, more than 120 companies have expressed intent to take part in the institution covering finance, culture, art and technology sectors.

Wang Zhonglin, Party secretary of Jinan, attended the launch ceremony and emphasized the important role companies have played in promoting the city's high-quality development.

Gao Feng, the director of the Jinan Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, said that the chamber will serve as a bridge for exchange among companies and will help Jinan to develop into a regional financial center.
