Yantai residents' per capita disposable income rises

Yantai's per capita disposable income reached 34,901 yuan ($5,209) last year, an increase of 8.1 percent annually.

Local authorities said the per capita disposable income for rural and urban residents in the region were 19,425 and 44,875 yuan, up by 7.6 and 7.3 percent respectively.

Yantai city has made efforts to further deepen reform and create a good business environment for private companies. The city’s residents' per capita net operating income grew by 7 percent to 8,009 yuan, accounting for 22.9 percent of the per capita disposable income.

It also intensified its efforts in supporting employment and entrepreneurship last year. The per capita salary income of urban residents reached 26,644 yuan, up by 7.3 percent from the previous year.

Yantai city will this year attempt to stabilize employment, reduce tax to increase residents' income, and invest more money in education, healthcare and elderly nursing to allay people's concerns for the future.
