The Lantern Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month. It falls on 19 Feb this year.
Guessing lantern riddles, Yangko performances (a popular rural folk dance) and gorgeous lantern shows are on offer in all the counties of Yantai as part of the Lantern Festival festivities.
1. Guessing lantern riddles
Guessing the answers to lantern riddles is an indispensable part of the Lantern Festival. Yantai Municipal Library, Yantai Mountain Scenic Spot, Yantai Museum and Yantai Art Museum are holding guessing lantern riddles activities for visitors.
