POWERCHINA made the 2021 list of Top 500 Chinese Brands with a brand value of 13.7 billion yuan ($2.15 billion), ranking 39th among central enterprises and 173rd overall.
The list was released by Brand Alliance, a well-known brand research institution in China, at a recent China Brand Festival.
Over 16,000 local brands in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were selected as samples to assess their brand value from financial, consumer, and market perspectives.
As many as 51 central enterprises and more than 10 local state-owned enterprises are included in this year's list, featuring in the business sectors of energy, machinery manufacturing, petrochemicals, telecommunications, construction materials, aviation services, and steel.
