President Joao Lourenco of Angola expressed his appreciation to POWERCHINA and others who helped build the country's new Kumba Hospital, in a speech on Oct 18.
He made his remarks while attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Kumba Hospital, during which he urged local residents to protect public facilities.

President Lourenco affirmed the country's need of the new hospital. He said that medical and health care was an important part of people's lives.
"People can make more contributions to the country's economic development, only when they have a healthy body," he said.

Kumba hospital, constructed by POWERCHINA, covers an area of 5,482 square meters. The hospital provides outpatient services, emergency treatment and hospitalization services.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the start of operations of the hospital, with several government ministers also taking part in the activity.
