Sun Hongshui, general manager of POWERCHINA, met with a delegation from Germany's Voith Group led by Hubert Lienhard, chairman of the board of Voith Group, in Beijing on April 24.
Sun welcomed the visitors and expressed satisfaction with the results achieved by the two sides on major international cooperative projects.
He said that POWERCHINA has the capability and advantage of a complete industrial chain covering planning, design, construction, investment, development, and operation in the fields of water conservancy and hydropower.

He noted that Voith Group is a longtime friend of POWERCHINA’s. The two sides have close business ties and have a good basis for cooperation. Both parties can explore such modes as third-party cooperation to jointly participate in the development of the hydropower market, optimize resource allocation, and create quality products and services.
Sun expressed hope that the two companies would make full use of their respective advantages and further deepen international project cooperation through investment, financing, joint ventures, and other cooperation modes to form a strong driving force for the construction market.
Hubert Lienhard thanked POWERCHINA for its long-term trust and support to Voith Group, while also exchanging views on specific cooperation projects.
He said that Voith Group has rich experience in hydropower development and is able to tailor a full set of solutions for hydropower station construction. Boasting strong advantages in the international market, a good reputation, rich experience in cooperation, and many successful cases, Voith Group can ensure that they will provide high-quality products and services for POWERCHINA.
Lienhard expressed hope that the meeting of top leaders could help deepen mutual understanding, consolidate friendly and cooperative relations, and continue to push cooperation between the two sides to a higher level.
