Pakistani reporters issued a number of reports that same day, stating that "China's support for Pakistan's energy projects reflects China's full confidence in Pakistan's future", and also saying "the Chinese government and investors regard Pakistan as a close friend. We are deeply impressed by their friendship and hospitality towards the Pakistani people." They also said that "the hydropower station, coal-fired power station and wind power projects undertaken by POWERCHINA have met or exceeded the environmental standards of Pakistan and the World Bank, and have become the most advanced environmental-friendly power stations in Pakistan, helping preserve the country’s clear waters and blue skies".
The delegation thanked POWERCHINA for its hospitality. They stated that the great achievements China has made over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up have inspired the world. The Pakistani people regard the Chinese as great friends.
The delegation hoped that the media would promote mutual understanding between the two countries, enrich the China-Pakistan strategic partnership and constantly encourage the two countries to continue improving the construction of the Belt and Road and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The visit was organized by the China Economic Net and POWERCHINA. It aims to strengthen exchanges and interactions between the media in China and Pakistan, and further enhance mutual understanding between the people of the two countries through media communications.
