POWERCHINA official meets vice president of Zimbabwe

Li Yueping, vice general manager of Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) met with Zimbabwe's Vice-president Constantino Chiwenga on March 29, 2018 to further deepen cooperation.

The vice president spoke highly of POWERCHINA's contribution to Zimbabwe's economic and social development and its people's lives. He noted that POWERCHINA has long been a partner of Zimbabwe. The country now focuses on reviving its economy, with infrastructure construction as a priority. It is looking forward to more help from other countries to help reflate the economy.

In addition to expressing appreciation for the Zimbabwe government's trust and support on POWERCHINA, Li described the progress of its key projects in Zimbabwe, including the Kariba hydropower station, the Hwange power station and the Kunzvi Dam-Harare water supply project.

POWERCHINA is dedicated to establishing long-term and close partnership with Zimbabawe, Li said, adding that the company will continue to support Zimbabwe's economic growth to benefit its people.
