The three-day Ordos Culture China Tour — 2026 Dalian Activity opened on Aug 20 in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, bringing the culture, products, and tourism appeal of Ordos to the coastal city.

Jointly hosted by the publicity departments of Ordos and Dalian, the opening featured a vibrant cultural showcase, including horsehead fiddle performances, throat singing, Ordos folk dances, and a cultural tourism stage production highlighting Ordos' landscapes and urban development. The Dalian Song and Dance Theater performed "Dalian Welcomes You," underscoring the close ties between the two cities.

More than 1,000 residents and tourists gathered to enjoy the performances and the themed music fountain show.

The event also serves as a platform for economic exchange, with presentations showcasing Ordos' agricultural and livestock products, investment opportunities, and tourism resources, laying a foundation for deeper cooperation between the two cities.

Four themed exhibition areas and 16 booths displayed Ordos' specialty foods, high-quality local products, cultural creative goods, and landscape photography. Visitors can sample grassland delicacies, explore distinctive handicrafts, and experience the city's unique cultural heritage.

Interactive activities, including quizzes, ticket giveaways, and an online "Cloud Tour of Ordos," have further engaged local residents and tourists.

The program also includes sports exchanges. On Aug 21-22, Ordos youth football and grassland volleyball teams will compete at Dalian's cultural and sports venues.

As a long-running city promotion brand, the Ordos Culture China Tour has reached over 20 cities across China — blending culture, tourism, sports, and commerce to promote Ordos and strengthen intercity cooperation.
