Commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the affiliation of China's National People's Congress (NPC) to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the 6th Interregional Seminar on the Achievements of the SDGs for Parliaments of Developing Countries were held in August.
Tulia Ackson, IPU president and Tanzania's National Assembly speaker, and IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong, as well as 19 parliamentary leaders and more than 140 parliamentarians from 32 developing countries participated in the events and the seminar.
