In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, for the purpose of honoring eminent individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the building and development of the New China and carrying forward the ethos of the nation and the times, and in accordance with the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Fourteenth National People's Congress at its 11th Meeting, the following individuals are awarded the national medals or national honorary titles:

1. Wang Yongzhi, Wang Zhenyi, Li Zhensheng, and Huang Zongde are awarded the Medal of the Republic.

2. Dilma Rousseff (Female, Brazil) is awarded the Friendship Medal.

3. Wang Xiaomo and Zhao Zhongxian are awarded the title of People's Scientist;

Bayika Kalidibek (Tajik Ethnicity) is awarded the title of People's Guard;

Tian Hua (Female) is awarded the title of People's Artist;

Xu Zhenchao is awarded the title of People's Craftsman;

Zhang Jinfan and Huang Danian are awarded the title of People's Educator;

Lu Shengmei (Female) is awarded the title of People's Health Worker;

Zhang Zhuoyuan is awarded the title of Outstanding Contributor to Economic Research; and

Zhang Xielin is awarded the title of Outstanding Contributor to Sports.

Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Conferment of National Medals and National Honorary Titles on the Occasion of the 75th Founding Anniversary of the People's Republic of China

(Adopted at the 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Fourteenth National People's Congress on September 13, 2024)

In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, for the purpose of honoring eminent individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the building and development of the New China and carrying forward the ethos of the nation and the times, and in accordance with the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and the Law of the People's Republic of China on National Medals and National Honorary Titles, at its 11th Meeting, the Standing Committee of the Fourteenth National People's Congress has decided as follows:

1. To award the Medal of the Republic to:

Wang Yongzhi, Wang Zhenyi, Li Zhensheng, and Huang Zongde.

2. To award the Friendship Medal to:

Dilma Rousseff (Female, Brazil).

3. To award national honorary titles as follows:

To award Wang Xiaomo and Zhao Zhongxian the title of People's Scientist;

To award Bayika Kalidibek (Tajik Ethnicity) the title of People's Guard;

To award Tian Hua (Female) the title of People's Artist;

To award Xu Zhenchao the title of People's Craftsman;

To award Zhang Jinfan and Huang Danian the title of People's Educator;

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress calls on the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to rally even closer around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, take the recipients of national medals and honorary titles as role models, learn from and disseminate their meritorious deeds, pool our collective wisdom and strength and forge ahead with enterprise, to make greater contributions to building a great country and rejuvenating Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese modernization.
