On July 19, He Wei, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), chaired the fifteenth meeting of the committee for political dialogue between China's NPC and the Chilean Congress, in Beijing. Karol Cariola Oliva, speaker of the Chilean Chamber of Deputies, co-chaired the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on topics including China-Chile relations, communication between the legislative bodies of the two countries, exchange of legislative experiences, as well as cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology.
