Zhang Chunxian, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), attended the opening ceremony of the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian province, on Sept 8.

China's development will bring more opportunities to other countries and inject new momentum into global economic growth, Zhang noted in his keynote speech at the event.

China's policy of "bringing in" and "going global" has not only promoted domestic economic growth and structural upgrading, but also facilitated global capital flow and economic growth, said Zhang.

China is accelerating the building of a new development paradigm and willing to join hands with other countries to promote in-depth cooperation on sustainable investment, Zhang stressed.

Efforts will be made to protect the legitimate rights and interests of foreign-funded enterprises in accordance with the law, and to advance opening-up at the institutional level. Focus will also be put on strengthening connectivity across industrial and supply chains, on the deepening of international cooperation in the digital field, as well as on green trade and investment, said Zhang.
