More efforts are needed to improve farmland infrastructure, promote scientific farming techniques, and coordinate the protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, lakes, grasslands and deserts, according to Ji.

He also said it’s important to establish and improve a black soil protection system that features the leadership of the government, effective execution by agricultural production operators, and active contributions from the public.
