More than 2,000 residents enjoyed a heartwarming Mid-Autumn Festival dinner at Taoli Chunfeng Starry Sky Park in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on the evening of Sept 19.
This marks the annual reunion event of Taoli Health Residential Area. Everyone was busy and clearly enjoying themselves as they celebrated the lead-up to Mid-Autumn Festival, which symbolizes the spirit of reunion.
The dinner opened with a retrospective short film, showing groups of children learning to swim in the warm summer. Over the past seven years, the residential area has helped 1,012 kids learn how to swim and provided drowning-prevention education to more than 4,000 primary school students.

Afterwards, representatives from nine different age groups of residents shared their insights about their respective ages and the challenges they typically face.
During the dinner, programs such as a creative fashion show, Chinese drum performance, and senior university choir took turns on stage, receiving much applause and cheers from the audience.
A total of 30 interest group leaders also appeared on stage. They hailed from different interest groups such as the local table tennis club, drama club, and choir performance. As of now, 45 self-operated interest groups have carried out over 10,000 activities in the residential area, covering more than 5,500 households and 190,000 participants.
As night fell, a fish lantern parade brought the atmosphere to a crescendo, with vibrant lanterns creating lively scenes.
The residential area is committed to exploring the reconstruction of people-to-people relationships in modern urban residential areas by hosting a series of events such as the Spring Festival Gala, Planting Festival, and Thousand-People Family Dinner.
