A Liupan Mountains-themed aircraft departed from Chengdu in Sichuan province and landed in Guyuan city, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on May 26.
The aircraft was co-developed by Guyuan city and Chengdu Airlines, marking a new partnership between them.
The flight blends local ecology and agricultural products, with the crew serving as in-flight cultural ambassadors for Guyuan.
Relying on Chengdu Airlines' route network and transportation resources, Guyuan's fresh specialties, such as cold vegetables and plateau beef, will be transported to dining tables across the country.
Guyuan is injecting greater vitality into the construction of an ecological, cultural, and tourism characteristic city. The Guyuan Liupanshan Airport currently operates six routes, with its navigable cities expanded to 10 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Fuzhou, and Chengdu.
As the summer season approaches, the airport will open routes to Shenzhen, Wuhan and other cities, with an expected weekly flight volume of 38.
