The 2024 China Stand-Up Paddling Masters commenced at Xinghai Lake in Shizuishan, Ningxia, on July 13.
This prestigious event, established by the Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport, is the only national SUP competition to feature an elite category.
The Shizuishan leg of the competition consisted of five events - the 200-meter sprint, the 200-meter prone paddling race, the six-kilometer long-distance skills race, the 200-meter relay race, and the 200-meter dragon board race.

The competition was divided into five categories - Elite, Open, Masters, University, and Youth. Nearly 300 athletes from across the country participated, competing for 17 championship titles.
Shizuishan has successfully hosted two consecutive legs of the China SUP Masters since 2023 and has been leveraging the event to promote recreational sports, establishing a unique brand of Shizuishan-style mass fitness events.
The city also organized a series of exciting activities, including a market fair, beer festival, commercial boxing league, performances, water jetpack shows, SUP races, and summer training camps for surfing and SUP, providing a more enriching experience for participants and visitors.
