Smiles return as water worries ease in Ningxia

It provided 24/7 service throughout the whole process of providing rural water — sources, plants, pipeline networks and household delivery. Tens of thousands of IoT devices automatically collect data on flow rate, water level and pressure, water quality. All distribution facilities operate automatically all day.

Intelligent water meters achieved household data reporting, and the Cloud provides real-time analysis and precise control. Information on water quality, quantity and price can be accessed via mobile phone, and water bills can be paid instantly. This significantly improved the reliability of rural water supply system.

The successful mode was expanded to other regions.

"A few days ago, I visited Pengyang again, and as I walked through the countryside, the sight of thousands of solar water heaters on home rooftops formed a new landscape," Du said. "The people who have escaped poverty and undergone significant changes in their lives have smiles of dignity, health, equality and happiness on their faces. I believe this is the essence of drinking healthy water."
