On Aug 22, Liang Yanshun, secretary of the CPC Ningxia Regional Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of Ningxia Regional People's Congress; and Zhang Yupu, deputy secretary of the CPC Ningxia Regional Committee and chairman of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, led a team of environmental experts to inspect the sewage discharged situation of Chonggang coal concentration area in Pingluo county of Ningxia.
During the inspection, the team found a drainage ditch hidden between two coal enterprises. After investigation, they found the source of the sewage at the corner of the coal washing workshop. Liang has led several investigations since he assumed his post in March this year.
