On Aug 20, the 2022 Yanbao Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held by Yanbao Charity Foundation of Baofeng Group in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

In 2022, the Yanbao Charity Foundation has continued to implement educational financial support. It has donated 600 million yuan (about $90 million), issuing Yanbao Scholarships to 142,500 students and continuing to subsidize the students who had won the Yanbao Scholarships but have not graduated. Besides, the foundation has rewarded all the freshmen from Ningxia this year with 4,000 yuan per year per person until they complete their studies in universities. Furthermore, 10,000 vocational college students and 3,500 senior high school students in the region will be subsidized. This action has continued to provide strong support for consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation in Ningxia, helping rural revitalization and promoting common prosperity.
On Jan 19, 2011, Dang Yanbao, chairman of Ningxia Baofeng Group, and his wife Bian Haiyan jointly established Ningxia Yanbao Charity Foundation with the mission of "knowledge changes the destiny".
Each year, Baofeng injects 10% of the enterprise's profits into Yanbao Charity Foundation to participate in public welfare charity.
Over the past 11 years, the charity foundation has been committed to helping students, and has become the only public welfare organization in China that subsidizes all university students in the province.

Dang said Baofeng has donated 3.3 billion yuan and subsidized 301,700 students in Ningxia, reducing the economic burden for more than 300,000 families in the region.
At the ceremony, Yang Yuanlong, who was admitted to Fudan University this year, made a speech on behalf of the awarded students. He expressed his gratitude to Yanbao Charity Foundation for its award and support, which enabled him to realize his dream of studying in the university and changing his life’s path.
