Chen Sufeng, a doctor from the Stomatological Hospital of Xiamen Medical College, now works in the Minning Town Health Center in the city of Yinchuan, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
She reminds her patients to make sure to remove their dentures before going to bed and put them in cold water. She also makes sure to fully inform them of the precautions they must take after treatment.
Doctor Chen has forged a deep bond with the town through a six-month collaborative medical support program between China's eastern and western regions. She has provided 17 elderly patients who were eligible for treatment with free customized dentures, making them smile with confidence again.
Shen Yang, director of the health center, said they have been striving to provide better medical services for the residents of Minning through the construction of key specialties, resources from Fujian-Ningxia cooperation and support from all parties.
