During the two sessions last year, six proposals from deputies to the National People's Congress from Ningxia Hui autonomous region were listed as key proposals by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
In the last year, NPC deputies from Ningxia have focused on issues related to people's livelihoods such as business, medical care and education. They served the people and made unremitting efforts for high-quality development of Ningxia.
Wang Dongxin, NPC deputy and deputy general manager of CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co Ltd, is a scientific and technological worker and enterprise manager at the grassroots level. During the two sessions last year, he made a proposal on enacting a law to protect trade secrets, which is highly valued by the State Administration for Market Regulation. The law, which is being drafted, will promote the healthy development of domestic enterprises and avoid disorderly competition.
Last year, the Ningxia delegation put forward a proposal to include Ningxia in the country's construction of regional medical centers. Now the Ningxia Women and Children's Hospital of Peking University First Hospital and Ningxia Hospital of Beijing Cancer Hospital are being built in the region.
Last year, deputies to the National People's Congress in Ningxia put forward 54 proposals on rural revitalization and new energy development.
The proposals on the layout of the big data center in Zhongwei city, and on supporting the ecological protection and restoration project in the Liupanshan ecological function zone, have been approved by national authorities.
