The 5th China-Arab States Expo will hold a health industry forum and healthcare and wellness exhibition in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, from August 19 to 22.
Ruan Yuesheng, deputy director of the Health Comission of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, made the remarks during a press conference held in Yinchuan on August 14.
The forum, themed on "technological innovation drives the high-quality development of health industry," will promote health industry communication and cooperation and "Internet + medical health" among the countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Academicians and experts will give lectures on "Internet + medical health" to exchange experiences and ideas and discuss the industry's future development.
The healthcare and wellness exhibition covers nine themes, including the origin of life, health management, remote medical treatment, Wise Information Technology of MED (WITMED), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the national demonstration area of "Internet + medical health," medical apparatus and instruments (internet of things), healthcare for the elderly and tourism for healthcare.
Several internet hospitals such as WeDoctor and Semacare will participate in the exhibition. They will display smart medical beds, intelligent TCM rooms and remote fetal heart monitoring and many similar products at the show.

During the activity, Ningxia Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Center will select two TCM specialists every day to provide medical consultation for exhibition visitors, further showcasing the unique charm of TCM. In addition, the world's most advanced surgical robot will also be displayed at the exhibition.
At the health industry forum and "Internet + medical health" forum, the autonomous region will sign a framework agreement with Peking University First Hospital and Beijing Cancer Hospital.
The deal will cover jointly building a national regional medical center to promote the country's high-quality medical resources to settle in Ningxia, solve insufficient treatment capacity for women and children and patients with severe tumors, and improve regional medical service.
The agreement also plans to build an international internet hospital, making Ningxia an engine for international medical service. It will push forward the implementation of trade orders and relevant projects of the "Internet + medical health" industry, promoting cooperation in the "Internet + medical health" field with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
