New direct flight to open from Ningbo to Phnom Penh

Starting Jan 1, 2025, Cambodia Airways will launch a direct route from Ningbo Lishe International Airport to Phnom Penh International Airport, offering Ningbo travelers an exciting new option for international travel.

The flights, operated using an Airbus A319 aircraft, will run three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight KR918 will depart Ningbo at 1:30 pm and arrive in Phnom Penh at 4:50 pm local time. The return flight, KR917, will leave Phnom Penh at 7:40 am local time and reach Ningbo at 12:30 pm. The journey takes approximately four hours each way.

Ningbo previously offered a route to Phnom Penh with a stopover in Chaoshan in 2017. Now, with the new direct service, tickets are available through Cambodia Airways' website and major ticket platforms. One-way tickets are about 1,300 yuan ($179.3) from Ningbo to Phnom Penh and 1,700 yuan from Phnom Penh to Ningbo, inclusive of taxes.

Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism reports that nearly 700,000 Chinese tourists visited Cambodia in the first 10 months of this year, a 52.5-percent increase from the previous year. The new route will provide more options for the upcoming Chinese New Year travel rush.
