More than 20 foreigners from 10 countries experienced folk activities to mark the Spring Festival in Dongwu town, Ningbo's Yinzhou district on Jan 18.
The delegation learned how to make pickled cabbages and niangaojiao, or stuffed rice cakes, the traditional way.
They also visited Tiantong Old Street in the town to learn about local intangible culture and the Marine Silk Road culture.
The event, which is in its eighth edition this year, was sponsored by the Information Office of the Ningbo Municipal People's Government. Every year, a group of expats in the city are invited to visit the city's rural areas to experience traditional culture.
