Ningbo artisans create additional bamboo pavilion

An additional pavilion made with bamboo sheets is currently under construction in Chengyang village, Yinzhou district, Ningbo.

The construction of this pavilion comes after the success brought by the construction of a similar pavilion erected in the village last year. Shaped like a giant farmer's hat, the building has emerged as a landmark in Chengyang, attracting numerous visitors.

Measuring 5.2 meters in diameter and 1.8 meters in height, the new pavilion is expected to use roughly 1,000 kilograms of bamboo in its construction. Four local artisans are crafting the pavilion.

The pavilion's roof has been completed, with the whole pavilion expected to complete construction on Nov 10.
