Construction of the Jinhua-Ningbo high-speed railway in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province is in full swing.
The railway's section I spans about 16 kilometers across the city's Fenghua and Yinzhou districts, and 45 percent of the section's construction work has been completed.
The rail-laying work is expected to start at the beginning of 2023.
Construction of the high-speed railway linking the cities of Ningbo and Jinhua in Zhejiang province started in October 2019.
With a maximum speed of 200 km/h, the rail line is expected to slash the travel time between the two cities to one hour and 29 minutes.
It will also boost interconnectivity between China's small commodities hub Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, and China's busiest port, the Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
The railway is being built by China State Railway Group Co and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. After completion, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co will be responsible for its operation and management.
