Ningbo's GDP rises 1.9% from Jan-Sept

Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province saw its gross domestic product increase 1.9 percent year-on-year to 876.23 billion yuan (around $127 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, according to official data. 

The output of the city's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries were 23.21 billion yuan, 403.84 billion yuan, and 449.18 billion yuan, representing increases of 2 percent, 0.6 percent, and 3.1 percent, respectively.

From January to September, the industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in Ningbo was 285.73 billion yuan, up 2.4 percent year-on-year, 3.4 percentage points higher than in the first half of this year.

Total retail sales of consumer goods in Ningbo were valued at 289.46 billion yuan during the nine-month period, down 3.7 percent over the same period last year.

The value of its foreign trade rose 4.3 percent year-on-year to 710.97 billion yuan, with exports expanding 4.5 percent to 464.51 billion yuan.

Actual use of foreign investment in the city edged up 1.6 percent to $2.15 billion.

In addition, per capita disposable income among its urban residents rose 4 percent to 52,402 yuan, while the figure among rural residents was 31,816 yuan, an increase of 5.2 percent.

During this period, the city's total fiscal revenue was 239.53 billion yuan, up 0.6 percent year-on-year, while its general public budget revenue dropped 9.1 percent to 124.66 billion yuan.
