Haishu district's gross domestic product (GDP) climbed 6.1 percent year-on-year to 117.011 billion yuan in 2019, according to local bureau of statistics.
The district's fiscal revenue amounted to 18.435 billion yuan, representing a yearl uptick of 4.8 percent.
In 2019, the industrial added value rose 7.7 percent year-on-year to 30.293 billion yuan in Haishu district.
The per capita disposable income among urban residents was 68,641 yuan, up 7.9 percent year-on-year, while the figure for rural residents was 37,199 yuan, an increase of 9.24percent.
Administrative divisions:
Haishu governs nine sub-districts, seven towns and one township -- Jishigang town, Gulin town, Hengjie town, Yinjiang town, Dongqiao town, and Zhangshui town; Shiqi sub-district, Yuehu sub-district, Ximen sub-district, Jiangxia sub-district, Nanmen sub-district, Gulou sub-district, Baiyun sub-sub-district, Wangchun sub-district, and Duantang sub-district; Longguan township.
Honors:
In 2018, Haishu ranked among the top 100 districts in China in terms of comprehensive economic strength. That same year, it won the Euro-China Green and Smart City Award.
