A total of nine enterprises from East China's Zhejiang province made the 2019 list of the top 200 foreign trade companies in China in 2019, a record for the province. 

The list, compiled by the China Customs magazine, had a higher threshold than last year. 

The minimum trade value of enterprises listed among top 200 export companies was 5.93 billion yuan ($859.4 billion), up by 250 million yuan, or 4.5 percent, year-on-year. 

Meanwhile, the threshold for enterprises that made the top 200 import company list rose 2.2 percent year-on-year to 8.71 billion yuan. 

Four Ningbo companies – Sunny Optic Technology (Group) Co Ltd, Ningbo JinTian Copper (Group) Co. Ltd, Formosa Chemicals Industries (Ningbo) Co Ltd, and China-base Ningbo Group Co Ltd – made the list of the top 200 import companies, ranking 94th, 146th, 154th, and 155th, respectively. 

Ningbo companies on the list of the top 200 export companies included Risen Energy Co Ltd, Aux Group, Shenzhou International Group Holding Limited, Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo) Trading Co Ltd and China-base Huitong (Group) Co Ltd, placing 123th, 158th, 159th, 169th, and 185th, respectively.

This was the first time that Risen Energy, a leading Chinese photovoltaic company, made the list.

The company exported 9.13 billion yuan in goods in 2019, ranking first in Ningbo.

Its annual report shows that Risen Energy's operating revenue was 14.40 billion yuan in 2019, up 48 percent year-on-year, and its net profits were 970 million yuan, increasing by 319 percent year-on-year.

The strong results are due to the company's continuous expansion into overseas markets and its increased production capacity, especially in Belt and Road countries.
