Specialized pulp vessel "Dajian Xinyun" successfully berthed at the general-purpose terminal at Yangkou Port in Rudong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on Oct 25.

This achievement follows the completion and inauguration of the expansion project of the terminal on April 8. Originally designed for handling cargo ships weighing 10,000 metric tons, the terminal now extends its berth to 304 meters in length and can accommodate vessels of up to 50,000 tons. Its annual throughput exceeds 3 million tons.

Looking ahead, authorities in charge of the terminal aim to further streamline its operational processes and continually improve its efficiency to provide top-quality port services to businesses in the Yangkou Port area. This development is expected to play a pivotal role in bolstering the participation of Nantong in the industrial transformation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
