Yangkou Port in Rudong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province recently began maintenance efforts on navigational aids in its southern and northern waterways. The project, which will span 20 days, aims to ensure the smooth functioning of 40 navigational aids within its jurisdiction.

Navigational aids are crucial infrastructure for safeguarding maritime transport. The task of maintenance is undertaken by the largest navigational aid vessel in Jiangsu, the "Haixun 169". This vessel has participated in significant missions such as Sino-Russian joint military exercises and deploying navigational aids during the Shanghai World Expo.

Throughout the maintenance period, the crew on board will replace 24 floating buoys, ensuring that all navigational aids are accurately positioned, brightly painted, structurally sound, and equipped with functional lighting. This meticulous upkeep will maximize the efficiency of the Yangkou Port's waterways and guarantee smooth transportation in the area.

Yangkou Port is the largest LNG (liquefied natural gas) unloading base in the Yangtze River Delta and one of the three major acrylonitrile warehousing bases along the coast of Jiangsu. Its waterways are always bustling with maritime traffic.
