LNG terminal works to meet high summer electricity demand

The PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal, located on Yangguang Island at Yangkou Port in Rudong, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has entered its busiest season of the year.
According to Miao Xiaochen, deputy general manager and safety director of PetroChina Jiangsu Liquefied Natural Gas Co, the daily gas supply of the terminal in recent days was about 20 million cubic meters, which can generate over 100 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, sufficient to supply the needs of 8 million households in Jiangsu province for one day.
To ensure the safe supply of gas, the company is making every effort to handle vessel unloading and gas transmission. Staff members have also increased the frequency of equipement inspections.

The PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal is the largest energy supply station in the Yangtze River Delta region and can supply gas to multiple national pipelines. During peak periods, it can produce 35 million cubic meters of gas per day.
