With the final prefabricated box girders delivered on Jan 7, the superstructure of the Yellow Sea Second Bridge was completed in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong county – administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province.

The Yellow Sea Second Bridge is a key project of Jiangsu's comprehensive transportation system and is expected to be opened to traffic in July.

Running in parallel and some 30 meters apart from the Yellow Sea First Bridge, the Second Bridge is 10.04 kilometers long, costing a total of 1.1 billion yuan ($162.32 million).

When operating, the carrying capacity for road tankers and the support capacity for industrial projects in the Yangkou Port area is expected to double.
