NETDA conducts election for deputies

The official election at the district level was held on Oct 18 at the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – located in Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province – according to local media reports.

During the whole process, the development zone actively encouraged candidates in the entire district to further clarify their tasks and fulfill their responsibilities, so as to ensure the orderly conduct of the election for new deputies to the NETDA's People's Congress in strict accordance with due procedures.

Zhang stressed the need to fully understand the significance of the election of the district's deputies to the NETDA's People's Congress, who would among other things help guide local residents to participate in the construction of Yangtze River Delta region.  

He said the district was conscientiously implementing the requirements for the election of district's deputies to the NETDA's People's Congress and was continuing to maintain a firm grip on the political direction, taking the lead in nominating and recommending deputies.

Zhang added that the development zone had effectively strengthened the organization and leadership of the election of the deputies – to further consolidate their responsibilities and advance all work in an orderly manner.
