Tongzhou brings in more projects from Shanghai

The event witnessed the signing of agreements for 24 projects related to new-generation information technology, intelligent equipment manufacturing, and modern services, with a combined value of 19.27 billion yuan ($2.82 billion).
During the event, Shanghai Unitech Electronics (Nantong) Co Ltd, which began operating in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in 2018, invested an additional 2 billion yuan to build a manufacturing facility for printed circuit boards in Nantong.
Zheng Zhenshan, general manager of the company, said at the event that the first phase of the project achieved good results, leading to additional orders from clients. That is why the company decided to invest more in the district.
Tongzhou in recent years has been focusing on the emerging industry cluster and transformation of traditional industries.
The district is currently home to nearly 200 enterprises above designated size.
Traditional industries in the county, including the modern home textile industry and modern construction industry, have made strides in industrial transformation.
The annual turnover of the home textile industry is over 100 billion yuan, while the annual value of the construction industry's construction output is over 200 billion yuan.
In addition, Tongzhou has brought in more than 20 projects from Shanghai over the past three years, injecting vitality into its industrial development.
