For the upcoming New Year holiday, Rudong county in Nantong, Jiangsu province, will offer markets, light shows, and delicious food for locals, kicking off 2026 in memorable fashion.

Bencha Ancient Town will launch a series of activities for the New year from Dec 31 to Jan 2. People can enjoy band's performances from 7 pm to 8 pm and appreciate colorful light shows, which will light up the night sky of the ancient town from 9:25 pm to 9:35 pm.

Another highlight is the flower boat performance from 8:05 pm to 8:25. It will see two beautifully decorated flower boats drift slowly down the river, with dancers performing passionately on board.

During the three-day holiday, at Peach blossom Island in Xiaoyangkou Scenic Area, people can participate in flower arrangement every day from 10 am to 11 am and from 3 pm to 4 pm. From 9 am to 5 pm, people can also wander through the flower market and pick favorite New Year flowers.

Cheerful band performances will start up spontaneously. Don't forget to sway along with the singing and feel the joy in the aroma of coffee and food.
