Team Nantong triumphed over Team Wuxi in the semifinals of the 2025 Jiangsu Football City League, also known as Suchao, on Oct 19 at the Nantong Sports Convention and Exhibition Center.

As the match began, both teams quickly adopted an attacking stance, engaging in fierce battles in the midfield. The first half ended in a stalemate with neither team scoring. Both teams made strategic adjustments in the second half, but neither could break through the opponent's defense. After 90 minutes of intense play, the match was tied, leading to a penalty shootout. Team Nantong emerged victorious, securing their place in the finals.

During the regular season, Team Nantong led the standings with 10 wins, two draws, and a total of 32 points. In contrast, Team Wuxi ranked fifth, achieving five wins, four draws, and three losses, which gave them a total of 19 points.

In the knockout stage, Nantong and Wuxi progressed to the semifinals after defeating Huai'an and Yancheng, respectively. The two teams had previously drawn in their regular season encounter on Sept 27 during the 13th round.

Following their successful advancement to the finals, Team Nantong will face Team Taizhou on Nov 1 at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center to compete for the championship.
