The fourth China University Beach Football Championship is being held at Binjiang Sports Park in Nantong from Oct 11 to 17, bringing together 18 teams from universities including Fudan University, Central South University, and Hohai University. 

The tournament was divided into men's and women's categories, with matches progressing through group stages and knockout rounds. The match follows a 5-a-side format where players perform dribbles, breaks, and shots barefoot on the sand. 

As one of the highest-level beach football competitions for Chinese university students, it has broken the geographical limitations traditionally associated with beach football, extending the tournament's influence from coastal cities to inland regions. In addition to competitive matches, it features activities such as carnivals and interactive experiences. 

In recent years, Nantong has actively promoted the integrated development of sports, culture and tourism. The hosting of the event not only provides a platform for university football athletes but also demonstrates the region's coastal scenery, comprehensive facilities, and sports vitality.
