According to the 2025 list for national 5G factories recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, four companies in Tongzhou district, Nantong, have made the cut, with the number of selected enterprises topping Nantong. These companies span various sectors, including new chemical materials, auto parts, photovoltaic energy storage, and electronic components.

A 5G factory is an advanced factory that fully leverages next-generation information and communication technologies represented by 5G to build new industrial internet infrastructure by establishing or renovating production lines, workshops, and plants. These factories can achieve ubiquitous connectivity across production units, deep integration of information technology and operational technology, full use of data as a strategic asset, and efficient empowerment through innovative applications.

The companies' selection is a significant recognition of their innovative practices in integrating 5G and industrial internet, marking a pivotal step forward in their intelligent transformation, digital transition and network connectivity.
